Vertical Incubator for Eggs

The device enables to incubate up to 250,000 pieces of salmonid eggs in 10 vertically located stainless steel appliances. Hatching in incubator can significantly reduce the loss of eggs compared to traditional methods of hatching on the flow water. Water in the incubator is recirculated by a pump through UV filter that destroys reliably all the disease agents, microorganisms and floating algae with maximum efficiency during hatching. The UV filter does not transmit any UV through the tube to the surroundings, does not develop ozone and its design complies with the conditions for protection class IP 64 / Protected from water spray/. It is branded equipment manufactured by the German company HW Wiegandt and approved for sale in the Czech Republic.

The incubator is equipped with a microprocessor with a digital temperature indicator of water in the system; simultaneously it switches the heater according to the temperature set in memory. Reheating water can, if desired, accelerate the incubation of eggs according to the needs. At the same time the diode light on the device indicates activity of heater.

Devices with eggs are slidable in the support frame and arranged vertically one above the other. Water flows through the devices /lower flow/ to a common tank provided with an overflow, heater, temperature sensor, and sedimentation partition. When checking or drawing off dead eggs, the apparatus can be slid out using the guide rails to the space under fluorescent lights. The eggs are then easily accessible and visible. In the upper part of the incubator frame there is a separate ball valve for adjusting the flow rate of recirculated water, and another valve for adjusting the flow of water refilled to the system from outside. Water refilling the system provides both exchange of water, adds water lost by evaporation and simultaneously can replace the recirculation by continuous flow e.g. during power outage.

On the side of the incubator, there is the switchboard with control parts, circuit breakers and digital temperature display. All electrical components are provided with corresponding protection and safeguard for the operation. The incubator must be earthed as well.

The frame of incubator, inserts of apparatuses and any other metal parts are made of stainless steel safe for food. The tanks of appliances and plumbing components are made of plastic; the valves are ball ones, made of stainless steel.
